Scotland has a long tradition of hand knitting, with the various regions having their own distinctive designs and styles, ranging from Aran style ganseys to multi coloured “Fair Isle” patterns and the local “Sanquhar” design from the Scottish borders.
I have adapted some of these traditions to suit the more modern method of machine knitting, using a medium thickness of yarn.
The yarn used ranges from hard wearing Shetland wool, through soft lambswool to luxurious lambswool/silk.
